Flivvers gear up for soccer postseason

Kingsford soccer improved to 8-4 on the season with 4-0 win at home against Three Lakes on Thursday.
Aubrie Moore notched 3 goals and and assist and Sofia Tappy also scored.
“It was a great growing game for the young Kingsford girls team,” said coach Jenette Gunville.
The Flivvers traveled downstate to play Charlevoix on May 8 and notched a 6-0 victory as Moore scored four times. Onika Smeester and Clara Grymes added a goal apiece.
On May 9, Kingsford lost to Gaylord 4-1. Moore launched a kick from the far left to get the lone tally.

Kylie Woodward had 21 saves in goal for the Flivvers, who trailed 3-1 at halftime.
Kingsford will enter the MHSAA Division 3 district tournament at 3 p.m. Wednesday, hosting Kalkaska at Flivver Field.
