The host Kingsford Flivvers took first place in the boys meet and second in the girls competition Thursday at the Flivver Invitational.

The Negaunee boys placed second, while the girls placed first.

Kingsford’s Jack Olson won both the 100-meter and 200-meter dashes. The Flivvers won three of the four relay events, while Kingsford’s Connor White swept the shot put and discus.

Other Flivver wins came from Matt Sundquist in the high jump and Gaige Sorenson in the long jump.

In the distance runs, Kingsford’s Blake Tomasoski claimed the 1600 and Cavan Mulligan captured the 3200.

Iron Mountain’s Ethan Davis was second in the boys 400 meters.

In the girls meet, the Flivvers got first-place finishes from Mylee Kreider in the long jump, Cassie Olson in the discus, and Maria Murvich in the 1600.

The Negaunee girls won 12 of the 17 events, including a sweep in the relays.
