Forest Park, North Dickinson and North Central athletes qualified in Division 3 for the Upper Peninsula Track and Field finals at a regional meet Wednesday in Ishpeming.

Forest Park’s girls earned the regional title, edging Stephenson to end the Eagles’ run of five straight championships.

The Stephenson boys captured their first U.P. regional crown since 2023.

The U.P. finals are set for Saturday, May 30, at Flivver Field. The top four finishers in each individual event at the regionals move on to the Division 3 finals, along with two relay squads in each of four events.

Earning first place at the regionals for the Forest Park girls were:

— Ava Fischer in the 100-meter and 300-meter hurdles.

— Audrey Williams in the 1600-meter run

— Elsie Williams in the long jump

— Aubrey Waara-Shamion, Monroe Rajala, Eden Starr and Haven Van Sickle in the 400-meter relay.

— Lily Sarder, Vienna Price, Starr and Waara-Shamion in the 800 relay.

Forest Park’s win came despite Stephenson’s Faith Cappaert sweeping the 100, 200, 400 and 800.

The North Dickinson girls, who placed third, got firsts from Aubrey Applekamp in the high jump and Aspen Anderson in the pole vault, along with the 3200-relay team of Alyson Steinbrecher, Taylor Dennocenzo, Alaiya Schemmel and Aunika Lindholm.

The Forest Park boys placed third behind wins from Joey Mainville in the 800, Dietrich Rasner in the 110 hurdles and Rasner, Mainville, Will Hoffman and Hayden Smith in the 3200 relay.

North Dickinson got firsts in the boys meet from Xavier Remer in the 300 hurdles and Ricky Haney in discus.

Placing first for the North Central boys were Myles Nehring in shot put and Prar LaBonte in long jump.

The Skyline Conference championships are set for Tuesday at North Dickinson.
