Manistique hosted the Mid-Peninsula Conference golf meet at Indian Lake Golf Course with Westwood capturing the boys championship and Negaunee claiming the top spot on the girls side.

Negaunee’s Adyson Crookham was the girls medalist Thursday with an 88, while Kody Baer of Ishpeming carded a 78 to win boys honors by five strokes.

In the girls match, Iron Mountain’s Monroe Vedin shot a 103 to finish in seventh place. Olivia Fleming followed with a 105 and Grace Webb recorded a 113.

Iron Mountain’s boys were led by Brayden Kassin with a 93, Tim Recla 96, Louis Fiorucci 103, Collin Punzel 119 and Lucas Richey with a 126.

Iron Mountain will compete at the Division 1 U.P. Golf Finals on Wednesday at Sage Run and Sweetgrass in Harris.
