Knights softball sweeps Carney

Norway pounded 27 hits in a doubleheader sweep at Carney on Tuesday, winning 16-0 in five innings in the opener and 18-2 in three innings in the second game.
Kendall Burklund pitched the opener, allowing two hits, walking four and fanning 10.
Lila Moraska was on the mound for the second game, giving up two hits and no earned runs. She walked one and whiffed eight.
For the doubleheader, leading the Norway offense were Addyson Burklund, triple, double, two singles; Lilly Tomlanovich, home run, three singles; Kendall Burklund, double, four singles; Tessa Castelaz, four singles; Devynn Ross, triple, two singles; and Jordyn Moln, two singles.
Kara Stanchina, Aidan Fisher, Payton Paquette, Arianna Porthouse and Aubree LaPine added singles.
Norway (19-8) has a doubleheader scheduled today at Gladstone.
