Norway softball 3-peats as Skyline champs

Norway clinched the Skyline Conference softball crown for a third straight year, sweeping Forest Park 20-2 and 15-0 on Tuesday.

Each contest went three innings as the Knights pounded a total of 25 hits.

In the second game, Lila Moraska and Jordyn Moln pitched a combined no-hitter, with Moln working the final two innings and striking out three. Moraska fanned two in the first inning.

Aubree LaPine worked a perfect two innings in the second game, whiffing five of the six batters faced. Starter Kendall Burklund allowed two runs on a pair of hits and a walk.

Collecting hits for the Knights in the doubleheader were:

-- Addyson Burklund, four singles.

-- Kendall Burklund, triple, two singles.

-- Jordyn Moln, three singles.

-- Tessa Castelaz, triple, single.

-- Lilly Tomlanovich, Payton Paquette and Myah Gilroy, two singles each,

-- Kaylee Baldwin, triple.

-- Devynn Ross, Arianna Porthouse, Aubree LaPine, Myah Zeugner, Aidan Fisher and Ashley Carlson, each a single.

The Knights also drew 16 walks.
