Florence High School athletes received recognition in softball and golf in awards announced by the Northern Lakes Conference.

Named to the All-Conference first team in softball were Ashley Peterson, Miley VanDenHeuvel and Sami DeMuri.

Quinn Cassidy landed a spot on the second team while Ashlyn VanDenHeuvel and Leah Baker received honorable mention.

Florence shared the conference softball championship with Three Lakes-Phelps.

The NLC Player of the Year was Kassidy Williams of Three Lakes-Phelps. Elcho’s Jamie Robrecht was Coach of the Year.

In golf, Florence’s Colt Atwell was named NLC first team All-Conference. Atwell tied for fifth in the individual conference standings.

He placed third at the WIAA Division 3 regional meet, shooting a 76 at Hunters Glen Country Club in Crivitz. He tied for seventh at the sectional meet, carding an 80 at Bass Lake Golf Course in Deerbrook.
