FHS’s Chrisman competes at WIAA state track meet
Florence sprinter Kelsi Chrisman narrowly missed qualifying for the finals of the girls 100-meter dash at the WIAA Division 3 state meet at La Crosse, Wis.
Chrisman, a sophomore, placed 13th at the state meet with a time in the preliminaries of 12.94 seconds. All but one of Saturday’s 10 finalists were seniors or juniors.
Sydney Knautz of Dominican, a UW-Parkside commit, won the event in a meet-record time of 11.94 seconds. Batteh Doumbya of Madison Country finished second at 11.95.
