IRON MOUNTAIN — Fifteen competitors participated Saturday in a bocce singles tournament hosted by the Dickinson Area Bocce Association at City Park.

Joe Fittante, Dave Mangone, Dave Antonetti, Larry Evanoff, Lucas Cavalieri, Jo Ellison, John Honzik and Jim Javoroski advanced to the single-elimination knockout round.

Semifinal play saw Fittante best Antonetti and Javoroski get by Cavalieri.

Javoroski prevailed 12-9 over Fittante in a battle of Iron County residents for first place.

Antonetti claimed a 12-3 win over fellow IM Northsider, Cavalieri, for third place.

Next up on the DABA schedule is the three-person U.P. Open on July 11.
