Kingsford Fastpitch, a local travel softball program, is gaining momentum by providing athletes throughout the area with opportunities to develop their skills, compete at a high level, and be part of a positive, team-first culture.

Built on hard work, player development, and creating a fun and competitive environment, the KFP program continues to grow each season and now includes 62 players from across the area competing across five divisions.

A key part of that continued development is the access to training opportunities at the local Wheelhouse Performance Center, where athletes have been able to train and work on their skills during the off-season to stay sharp and continue improving year-round.

The organization will host its first travel softball tournament at Lodal Park in Kingsford starting on July 31. The tournament will feature divisions from 8U through 16U and has already generated strong interest from teams looking to compete. Organizers are looking forward to welcoming players and families to Kingsford for a great weekend of softball.

Teams interested in participating are encouraged to register soon as spots continue to fill.

Looking ahead, players interested in joining the program for the 2027 season should watch the organization’s Facebook page for tryout information. Tryouts are expected to begin the week of Aug. 16, with details to be announced.

Starting at $3.50/week.
