North Dickinson will host Painesdale Jeffers at 4 p.m. Wednesday in an MHSAA Division 4 baseball regional semifinal at Felch Field.

A win would send the Nordics into the regional final on Saturday at Rudyard against either Gaylord St. Mary or Mio. A state quarterfinal matchup will follow.

The Nordics (11-5) claimed the district championship Friday at Wakefield-Marenisco with a 7-3 win over the hosts. The Cardinals had entered the game with an 11-4 record.

In the district semifinal, North Dickinson blasted Ewen-Trout Creek 22-2 in five innings.

Painesdale Jeffers is 14-7 on the season and split a doubleheader against Wakefield-Marenisco on May 14. The Jets won their district title with a 14-1 drubbing of L’Anse.
