Hillman defeated Norway 5-2 on Tuesday in an MHSAA Division 4 softball state quarterfinal in Cedarville to advance to this weekend’s state tournament in East Lansing.

Hillman (33-9) will meet Mendon (30-3) in a state seminal Friday at Michigan State University’s Secchia Stadium. Friday’s other semifinal will have Brown City (25-11) facing Fowler (27-8).

The Knights finish their season at 27-14, having earned the program’s first regional championship Saturday with an 11-0 win over Superior Central (14-7).
