Northern Lights YMCA Dickinson Center swimmers, from left, Dominic Tatangelo, Allison Deuter and Bryce Johnson participated in the annual Swim Teal Lake Benefit for Diabetes in Marquette County on Saturday. Tatangelo, an eighth grader at Kingsford Middle School took sixth place overall, covering the 2.25-mile swim that this year started from the Ishpeming side across to Negaunee in 57 minutes and five seconds. Deuter, heading into her junior year at Kingsford, was 13th at 59.51, and Johnson, a junior at Iron Mountain High School, was 26th with a time of 1:11.06 after veering off course slightly. A total of 70 swimmers took part in this year’s event.
