Kingsford hosted Iron Mountain in girls tennis Thursday, posting a 7-1 victory.
Aubrie Moore of the Flivvers remains undefeated this season at No. 1 singles. Moore also went undefeated in 2025 when she was the Upper Peninsula's Division 1 player of the year as a sophomore.
"She continues to play her game," Kingsford coach Tracy Rutter said. "She is driven and determined."
Iron Mountain's lone win came at No. 2 doubles, as Penelope Geneva and Juliana Saldana outlasted Natalie Bjorne and Verity Martin, 6-3 , 3-6 , 6-1. "These two girls never give up and play with such passion and drive," Rutter said, adding the Flivvers continue to "dial in" at doubles.
"One thing I can say that I will always be proud of is our team integrity and sportsmanship," Rutter added. "The girls rally for each other and cheer each other on."
When the Flivvers host Iron Mountain at 3:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 14, it will be a "pink out" match in memory of Ginger Moore. Fans are encouraged to wear pink.
"Donations will be collected and distributed to two local families in honor of Ginger presented by her daughter Aubrie," Rutter said.
