Fourteen Albion football players, including Matthew Wilson of Kingsford, have been recognized on the National Football Foundation’s Hampshire Honor Society list.

Created in 2007, the NFF Hampshire Honor Society recognizes football players from all divisions who have maintained a cumulative 3.2 GPA or higher throughout their college careers and is a senior or graduate student.

Wilson was also included in the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Academic Honor Roll for the 2025-26 year, receiving the honor for a second time. The MIAA Academic Honor Roll recognizes student-athletes who maintain a 3.5 grade-point average for the academic year while earning a varsity letter in an MIAA-sponsored sport.

Wilson graduated this year with a degree in chemistry and minors in psychology and educational studies.
