Florence defeated Lena 3-0 (25-5, 25-17, 25-4) in a non-conference volleyball match Monday.
“We were able to really get our middle attack going with Miley VanDenHeuvel notching 10 kills and also leading with 24 digs,” said LadyCats coach Teresa Chrisman.
Florence’s Kelsi Chrisman had 14 across the board -- 14 kills, 14 assists and 14 digs, along with nine aces. Emily Wolske contributed 10 kills and 13 digs.
“Having three hitters in double digits is a real advantage and shows we are not one-dimensional,” coach Chrisman added.
Taylor Pauley had 100% serving and tallied 18 digs and Julia Murrow had 20 assists on the night. Florence returns to action Thursday in a Senior Night conference battle with Laona-Wabeno.
“It was nice to have a fun student section and we hope to pack the gym and do it again for Thursday,” Chrisman said.
In the Wisconsin Volleyball Coaches Association’s poll, Florence (15-3) is ranked No. 1 in WIAA Division 5.
