Norway traveled to Eben Junction and came away with a 3-1 volleyball win Tuesday, prevailing 25-20, 25-16, 23-25, 25-22 over Superior Central.
Norway junior Kendall Burklund stacked up five aces, eight kills, and 16 digs, while recording the 100th ace of her career.
“Kendall is one of the hardest working kids I have seen,” said Norway coach Meghan Rossato. “She works extremely hard during the season, but it's her work out of season that just puts her to that next level. She still wants feedback on what she can improve and her mental strength on the court is extremely advanced.”
Norway’s Chloe Chartier had a huge night as well, chalking up 16 kills, and Addy Burklund added 13 kills with a .345 hitting percentage.
“The middles have really been working hard and are a force at the net at this point in the season,” Rossato said. “They are extremely impressive. Addy is so physically strong and plays some really smart volleyball. Every player made an impact, and as a coach you can't ask for more.”
The Knights are back in action Tuesday, hosting Bark River-Harris on Parents Night.

Niagara stayed on course for a homecoming win over St. Thomas Aquinas Academy, posting 25-10, 25-14 and 25-12 victories.
“With a week full of festivities and distractions, I am proud of the team for keeping their focus and doing the little things right,” said Badgers coach Maryellen Allred. “It was a fun night and we showed a lot of power both at the net and at the service line.”
Niagara travels to Elcho on Tuesday and returns to M&O action Oct. 1 at Wausaukee. The Badgers are 4-1 in the conference.
