North Dickinson overcame early turnovers and defeated Superior Central 58-30 at Eben Junction on Thursday.
The win puts the Nordics at 1-0 in the Great Lakes Eight Conference-East and 1-1 overall.
“Our line came to life and I think really dominated both sides of the line of scrimmage,” said North Dickinson coach Mike Christian. “I am really proud of them. They let our skilled guys excel.”
Luke Grunlund completed 9 of 13 passes for 147 yards and four TDs. Trenton Kramer caught all four scoring passes and racked up 122 receiving yards.
Jason Graham led the rushing attack with 166 yards on 18 carries, scoring two TDs and five conversions.
Graham was a force on the defensive side as well with 19 tackles. Toby Fleming recorded 16 tackles and two sacks.
Kramer added a pair of sacks and a fumble recovery. Hayden Grunlund returned a fumble 25 yards for a score in the fourth quarter and also had an interception.
North Dickinson travels to Rapid River on Friday for a conference game.

Forest Park 41,
Munising 14
Forest Park raced past Munising 41-14 to improve to 2-0 in the Great Lakes Eight Conference-West.
The Trojans will travel to Bessemer to take on Gogebic on Friday.
Playing at home, Forest Park struck first against Munising on Thursday on a 5-yard run by Dax Huuki. They extended the lead to 28-6 at halftime, backed by a 1-yard scoring plunge by Vic Giuliani, a 44-yard TD jaunt by Huuki and a 21-yard run by Devin Bennett.
It was Huuki scoring again on a 3-yard run in the third quarter and Noah Starr tacked on a 37-yard score in the fourth.
Nick Stachowicz, Eli Brzozowski , Ivan Caroen and Devin Koga were among the defensive leaders. Chris King and Clayton Williams recovered fumbles.
Hancock 58
West Iron 0
Hancock was held to 261 yards by visiting West Iron, but scored on a punt return and a pair of interception returns Thursday.
Brady McDonald had an interception for the Wykons and Donte White recovered a fumble. White was West Iron’s leading rusher with 40 yards in 14 attempts.
Seth Oberlin was the Wykons’ leading tackler.
The Wykons are at Gwinn on Friday.
