PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. -- The PGA Tour announced Wednesday that Upper Peninsula native Hunter Eichhorn has achieved TourBound status, as he is mathematically assured of finishing in the top 20 of the Korn Ferry Tour Points List and earning PGA Tour membership for the 2027 season.

Ahead of this week's Korn Ferry Tour Championship presented by Virginia's Richmond Region -- the 25th and final event of the 2026 season -- the top-13 players on the Korn Ferry Tour Points List are officially TourBound. Of the 13 players assured of PGA Tour membership, 12 will be receiving their first PGA Tour card.

Eichhorn secured a PGA Tour card in his first season with Korn Ferry Tour membership. One of just three players with nine top-10 finishes this season, Eichhorn recorded a season-high finish at the 2026 Visit Knoxville Open, where he lost in a playoff to Doc Redman.

Hailing from Carney, Eichhorn played five seasons at Marquette University, where he earned six individual victories and was a three-time Big East Conference Player of the Year.

Following his Marquette career, Eichhorn steadily climbed the professional ranks. Full-time status on the Korn Ferry Tour this year provided the breakthrough opportunity he needed, and he responded with a season highlighted by consistent performances -- 12 top-25 finishes and nearly $400,000 in earnings heading into the Korn Ferry Tour Championship.
