Lena defeated Niagara 3-2 in a closely contested M&O Conference volleyball match Thursday.
The visiting Badgers went up 2-0, but dropped three sets after their starting setter went down with an injury.
The scores were 26-24, 25-22, 24-26, 19-25,17-19.
“Lena hustled well and kept a lot of our hard hits alive,” said Niagara coach Maryellen Allred. “Though I don’t feel like we played poorly, ultimately our loss came down to a few moments of miscommunication, regrouping after an injury, and some missed serves. We had some wonderful moments of executing our offense and our offense was well-balanced throughout the course of the night,” she said.
