KHS, Norway, CF, ND host volleyball semis

Iron Mountain traveled to Menominee and posted a 3-0 win Monday to open the MHSAA Division 3 playoffs in District 66. Norway (18-10-2) will host the Mountaineers (2-21-5) at 6 tonight in a district semifinal. Iron Mountain's win over Menominee came by scores of 25-16, 28-26, 25-18. MHSAA district volleyball action continues today, with matches scheduled in Kingsford, Norway, Crystal Falls and Felch Township.

In Division 2, Kingsford hosts Negaunee at 5 p.m. today in a District 33 semifinal, while Houghton will be at Escanaba for the other semifinal. The championship will be decided Thursday.

In Division 3, Norway hosts Iron Mountain in a District 66 semifinal at 6 p.m. today. Bark River-Harris is at Manistique in the other semifinal and the championship is slated for Thursday.

Also in Division 3, West Iron County visits Painesdale Jeffers at 6 p.m. Eastern time today for a District 65 semifinal, while Calumet will host Gwinn. The district final is Friday.

In Division 4, Forest Park hosts North Central in a District 99 semifinal at 5 p.m. today. Meanwhile, North Dickinson hosts Stephenson, also at 5 p.m. today. The championship will be decided Thursday.
