Three Northern Lights YMCA swimmers have earned a place on the team's record board after recording outstanding times in the 1,000-yard freestyle.
Sierra Tatangelo, Aubrey Dixon and Allison Deuter each set a new record in their respective age groups, highlighting the team's dedication to hard work, endurance and continued improvement in the pool.
Tatangelo established the 11-12 age group record with a time of 14:47.42. Dixon claimed the 13-14 age group record, finishing in 14:04.71. Deuter set the 15-and-over age group record with an impressive time of 12:25.27.
"The 1,000-yard freestyle is a demanding distance event that requires swimmers to combine endurance, pacing and mental toughness," said coach Aimee Tatangelo. "All three athletes demonstrated those qualities in their record-setting swims, and it's exciting to see their hard work pay off with a place on the record board."
