Knights tennis tops IM

Norway traveled to Ion Mountain and captured wins at No. 2 and 3 singles and No. 1 and 3 doubles to defeat the Mountaineers in girls tennis action Tuesday, Iron Mountain got a win from from Alysia Wood at No. 1 singles, while Penelope Geneva and Juliana Saldada prevailed at No. 2 doubles with a close win over Norway's Chloe Mitchem and Lilly Tomlanovich. Norway's victories in singles came from Jessa Rossler and Tori Trudeau. Teaming up for doubles triumphs were Myah Gilroy and Emily Carlson, along with Marisa Pipp and Lyla Tomlanovich.

Wykons girls tennis sweeps Mustangs

West Iron swept Munising but fell to Westwood 7-1 in girls tennis action in Ishpeming Township on Tuesday. On Wednesday, the Wykons hosted Ishpeming and recorded a 5-3 win. Prep football, volleyball slated this weekend

Wisconsin schools will kick off the 8-player prep football season this weekend, with Niagara and Florence on the road and Goodman-Pembine getting back into varsity action at home.
