FLORENCE, Wis. –The Silent Sporters on Saturday plan to visit the waterfalls on the Popple River in Florence County.

The group will leave the Florence Natural Resource Center & Wild Rivers Interpretive Center at 1 p.m. to visit the Jennings, Washburn and Big Bull waterfalls.

For carpooling, Dickinson County hikers will leave the U.S. 2 and M-95 intersection at 12:40 p.m.

In Iron County, meet at the Crystal Falls Township Hall at 12:40 p.m.

There will be a cookout on Lake Oneonta near Fence, Wis., after the waterfalls trip. The Stolzes are supplying hot dogs, bratwurst, buns and condiments, but please bring a dish to pass.
