The Ward family from Steuben in Schoolcraft County enjoyed the U.P. Trappers Association workshop: from left, front, Annabelle and Abigail; back, Jeff and Amanda.

More than 200 people attended the U.P. Trappers Association’s youth workshop held earlier this month at the Hermansville Community Center. All youngsters received a door prize along with a weasel trapping startup kit; the older kids received a “dog-proof” Duke raccoon trap donated by Duke Traps.

Event coordinator Mike Lewis is already making plans for the 2020 workshop.
