FLORENCE, Wis. –We Energies is refilling the reservoir upstream from the Pine Hydroelectric Power Plant near Florence.

The reservoir will slowly refill back to normal operating elevation throughout the summer.

A drawdown occurred in late 2018 to conduct maintenance at Pine Dam. Refill was delayed until now because of winter weather conditions.

While the reservoir refills, motor vehicles and ATVs are not allowed on the exposed reservoir bed, metal detecting is not allowed and removal of driftwood is prohibited.

Recreation sites No. 34 and 24 will remain open, but launching trailered boats is prohibited until the reservoir returns to normal operating levels.
