MADISON, Wis. — In order to fully engage with everyone who has an interest in lake whitefish, the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources will have a virtual public meeting to discuss options on the best path forward for this species.

This virtual meeting will be at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 18. Members of the public can access the meeting beginning at 5:45 p.m. via Zoom or by calling 312-626-6799 and using meeting ID: 957 6595 4593.

The department will be developing new regulations for lake whitefish for the commercial industry and would like stakeholder participation from a wide variety of sources.
