The visible silver ridges are the bottom side of the new steel scaffold, which used to be made of wood. The middle photo shows the gap between the old jump and the new structure, approximately half-way up looking from the ground. The gap decreases to a point of the old and new jumps being flush with one another near the top, seen at right.
