Tour de Dickinson to return Aug. 21; The Ogee Challenge to debut Oct. 16

IRON MOUNTAIN — Now that pandemic restrictions have eased, Dickinson Trail Network is announcing the return of the Tour de Dickinson on Saturday, Aug. 21, starting and finishing at Lake Antoine.

Participants can choose from scenic routes ranging from 5 to 22 miles. Although it’s a non-competitive event, support and gear stations are included.

Registration information is available at https://www.dtntrails.org/tourdedickinson.

DTN is also introducing The Ogee Challenge on Saturday, Oct, 16, which starts and finishes on Main Street in downtown Norway. It includes mountain bike and youth cross-country races.

More information is available at https://www.dtntrails.org/theogeechallenge.

DTN this year is building a Millie Hill Map kiosk and the Tony Tatangelo Bike Repair Station. The structure will house a Millie Hill trail map, information, and include a weather resistant bike repair station. It will be located near the Millie Mine Bat Cave parking area.

“We would like to thank our sponsors: The Tatangelo family, Incrediblebank, and KCD Landscaping,” said Chad Susott, DTN president.

Project directors include Karol Domitrovich, and James Morrow. The bike repair station will be dedicated to the memory of Tony Tatangelo with a metal placard.
