DNR education events offered
LANSING, Mich. — After nearly two years of pandemic uncertainty, the Michigan Department of Natural Resources’ teacher education events will return to a full schedule this summer.
The DNR’s Ralph A. MacMullan Conference Center, on the north shore of Higgins Lake in Roscommon, has hosted the academy since 2008.
In 2016 the DNR partnered with Michigan Technological University to launch an Upper Peninsula-based option. This year’s course will explore the historical and cultural impacts on natural resources of the U.P.
The academy at Michigan Technological University’s Ford Center in Alberta is July 31 to Aug. 5.
Courses in Roscommon will take place July 10-15.
