Champions crowned at Keyes Peak truck drags

FLORENCE, Wis. — Andrew Mills earned “Best of Show” at the Keyes Peak Uphill Truck Drags as drivers from Wisconsin, Michigan, Iowa, Illinois and Minnesota competed for more than $15,000 in prize money.
More than 3,000 people attended the March 11 event, watching six classes of trucks race side by side up the intermediate run at Keyes Peak Ski Hill.
The event raised money for three local volunteer organizations: Keyes Peak Ski Hill Committee, Blue Ox Trail Riders and the Florence Volunteer Fire Department.
“Organizers would like to thank the many businesses and individuals who donated prize money,” said Eric Printz, director of Florence County Economic Development. “In addition, a big thanks to the businesses, organizations, agencies and 130-plus volunteers who made this event a huge success.”
Winners included:
Class A, Bobby Clemo, 1st; Tony Ragio, 2nd.
Class B, Jason Vanderwall (Foolin), 1st; Tony Ragio, 2nd.
Class C, Jake Vyverberg, 1st; Andrew Mills, 2nd; Cameron Boyd, 3rd.
Class D, Michael Dorsey (Mike Honcho), 1st; Jeff Miller, 2nd; Shawn Boyd, 3rd.
Class E, Joe Burke (Dirty Intentions), 1st; Todd Bylsma (Whine Time), 2nd; Michael Dorsey (Mike Honcho), 3rd.
Class F, Michael Dorsey (Mike Honcho), 1st; Todd Bylsma (Whine Time), 2nd; Nic Deboer, 3rd.
