Trappers workshop Feb. 3

HERMANSVILLE — The Arduin Brothers Memorial Trapper’s Workshop will be held from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 3, at the Community Center Building in Hermansville.

Hours are 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Each youngster attending will receive trapper’s startup kits — weasel for younger kids and dog-proof raccoon traps for older ones.

There will be three seminars — mink/muskrat by Roy Dahlgren, weasels by Jimmy Fornetti and raccoons by John Gunville.

“All three presenters will not only teach how to trap the furbearer, but to do it legally, humanely, and safely,” said Mike Lewis, workshop director.

Right after lunch some of the attendees will be building mink boxes from pre-cut, pre-drilled boards.

Raffles, a concession stand and door prizes will also be part of the event. Each youngster is guaranteed to win a door prize.

For more information go to www.uptrappers.com or call Mike Lewis at 906-774-3592.

Starting at $3.50/week.
