The annual Side by Side raffle conducted by the Sagola Township Sportsmen’s Club came to an end as the winning ticket was drawn during the club’s annual gun show at its clubhouse in Channing.
Ticket number 3184 was sold on Aug. 29 during the Dickinson County Fair in Norway. That winning ticket was purchased by Robert Prisk of Iron Mountain, who signed up as a club member at the same time.
This marks the second time the winning ticket was sold at the Dickinson County Fair. It also marks the first time in almost 10 years that a Sagola Township Sportsmen’s Club member has won the machine.
The membership normally purchases about 25% of the tickets sold. Liberty Conroy of Old Glory Firearms drew the ticket Feb. 14 during the gun show.
The machine that Prisk won was a 2025 Honda Pioneer 700-4 purchased from Cycle City in Escanaba. It has an added windshield and cabin roof.
The machine spent the past year traveling to and from various ticket-selling locations. Most of the time the Honda could be found at the Sagola Mobile Mart, which was the largest individual seller of tickets.
The Sagola Township Sportsmen’s Club would like to thank all of the sellers and purchasers from this year’s raffle. They include: Sagola Mobile Mart, Ace of Clubs, Cuculi’s Bar, Silver Lake Resort, Jake’s R&R Tire, Hardcore Outfitters, Westman Precision, Randville Bar, Norway Barber Shop, Da Hardwood Store, NorthStar Bar, Nordic Grocery, LaBranche Tavern, Red Arrow, Who’s Next, Cycle City, Big Ten Sports Bar, Nordic Trading Post, Bob’s Country Bar, J’s Sports Shop, Perronville Pub, Crystal Fresh Market, Superior Sport, Michi-Aho Resort, Way Dam Resort, and Sommers Meats. Tickets were also sold at the Upper Peninsula State Fair, Dickinson County Fair, and various gun shows and events throughout the area.
