Packers release cornerback Trevon Diggs

GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) — Cornerback Trevon Diggs was released by the Green Bay Packers on Tuesday, three weeks after they claimed him off waivers from the Dallas Cowboys. General manager Brian Gutekunst announced the move. The Packers claimed Diggs on Dec. 31, a day after the Cowboys waived him. Diggs had an NFL-leading 11 interceptions and earned All-Pro honors in 2021. He made the Pro Bowl again in 2022 but his performance has declined since, in part because of two major knee surgeries.
