Florence, Niagara to launch 8-player seasons

Florence will open its 8-player varsity football season Thursday, hosting Wausau Newman Catholic at 7 p.m. Newman Catholic finished 8-2 last season, bowing in the opening round of the state playoffs. The Bobcats, coached by Kent Walstrom, went 7-3, one season removed from an undefeated state championship campaign.
