Voting is a cherished right

My grandfather came from the old country prior to World War I. He raised a family and retired from DuPont Company.

He was amazed that he had the right to choose the next government. He never missed an election for the rest of his life.

When I’m at the poll on voting day, I always tell the poll workers I’m voting in the memory of my grandfather.

Now, I may not fully understand the issue or what the candidates stand for. But I honestly vote for what I consider the right issue and the best candidate.

I leave the polling place, pushing my walker, thinking of him. Now at 79 years old, my grandfather’s memory will be with me at city, township, county, state and federal elections. Granddad Joe knows that I will be there. Will you?

Some room for

improvement

Wouldn’t it be great if Kamala Harris and Liz Cheney were nominated for president in the 2024 election. A woman would probably do better than our recent male presidents.
