Steven Skoglund

NORWAY — Steven Ferris Skoglund, 61, passed away on Thursday, Aug. 28, 2025, at St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay, Wis.

Steve was the son of Ralph and Kathy Skoglund of Norway. Born on April 18, 1964, at Anderson Memorial Hospital in Norway, Steve was a graduating member of Norway High School’s Class of 1982.

Steve married Vicki Bergen at Six Mile Lake in Felch on Oct. 4, 1997, on a beautiful, sunny, fall day. They were just short of 28 years married when she lost him. Together they built a pretty log home in Swedetown, up on the hill in Norway, living their life in the same neighborhood where his parents and grandparents had lived theirs.

Steve was a man who cherished the simple pleasures of life … time at his cottage on Six Mile Lake, scenic rides to the Skoglund family camp known as the “Dooble Quart” and above all, sharing meaningful moments with his family and friends. Steve’s warmth, humor, and his truly genuine nature, touched everyone who knew him. He had a unique way of making people feel welcome and valued, whether they were gathered around a campfire or enjoying a peaceful day outdoors.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Vicki Skoglund; his children, Whitney Bales, and Codey Bales; grandchildren Olivia Kraemer, Nash Kraemer and Brynlee Quick; and his sisters, Patsy (Dave) Carnahan and Nancy Griffith. Steve also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, friends, and extended family members who loved him dearly. Another who is missing him every day is his pup and steady companion, Penny.

He is proceeded in death by his parents Ralph and Kathy Skoglund; and his brother, Glen Skoglund.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, Oct. 11, at 1 p.m. at Oak Crest Golf Course in Norway. Family and friends are invited to come share stories, laughter, and memories as we honor the life of a man who meant much to so many.
