Coleman rallies past Badgers

A four-run fifth inning lifted Coleman to a 6-3 win Friday at Niagara in M & O Conference softball. The Badgers stroked 10 hits, but left seven on base. Alivia Kleikamp led the offense with a triple and two singles, while Elesia Sweig doubled and singled. Grace Payette added a single and two RBIs. Flivvers, Miners share honors at Kingsford

The host Kingsford Flivvers took first place in the boys meet and second in the girls competition Thursday at the Flivver Invitational. The Negaunee boys placed second, while the girls placed first. Kingsford's Jack Olson won both the 100-meter and 200-meter dashes. The Flivvers won three of the four relay events, while Kingsford's Connor White swept the shot put and discus.
