State lists new COVID-19 death in Wisconsin’s Forest County

Wisconsin health officials Saturday listed not only a new COVID-19 positive for Forest County but a third death as well.

The Forest County Health Department on Friday had posted on its Facebook site that it had a 35th case, again linked to the outbreak at The Bay at Nu-Roc care facility in Laona, Wis.

But it had not indicated an additional death. The listing on its Facebook page was not updated Saturday.

The numbers for the Upper Peninsula did not change on the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services’ COVID-19 data site Saturday: Baraga and Keweenaw counties had one confirmed virus case each; Alger County two confirmed cases; Chippewa County two confirmed cases and one probable; Luce County three confirmed cases; Iron and Schoolcraft counties four confirmed cases; Gogebic County six confirmed cases and a death; Dickinson County six confirmed cases, one probable and two deaths; Houghton and Mackinac counties eight confirmed cases; Menominee County nine confirmed cases; Delta County 18 confirmed cases, three probable and two deaths; and Marquette County 61 confirmed cases and 11 deaths.
