Guard assists Florence tests
FLORENCE, Wis. — On Monday, the Wisconsin National Guard assisted the Florence County Health Department in providing the community COVID-19 testing in Florence.
Over the course of the testing day, 93 people were tested, with 76 of them being from Florence County. The results identified one new positive case being in Florence County.
Seventeen individuals were tested from other jurisdictions including: Ozaukee County, Forest County, Marinette County and Brown County. All individuals are notified by the National Guard or the health department in their jurisdiction of their results.
The health department extends its gratitude to the National Guard and other community partners who assisted in planning, implementing and promoting the testing site.
As of Thursday, a total of 684 Florence County residents have now been tested for COVID-19.
