Live Christian music concert to benefit Chloe and Cale July 18
FELCH TOWNSHIP — A live Christian music concert to benefit Chloe and Cale is slated from 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday, July 18, on the grounds of the Metropolitan Hall, W5051 Metropolitan Road in Felch Township. The local group Sowing Seeds will perform for the event. Everyone is encouraged to bring a lawn chair and enjoy an afternoon of music and giving. Chloe Conery is battling a high-risk form of childhood leukemia. She is undergoing intensive treatment and frequent visits to Milwaukee. Church Revival slated July 17 at Lake Antoine
IRON MOUNTAIN — A multi-denominational Church Revival is planned from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, July 17, at the Lake Antoine Park band shell in Iron Mountain. The event will feature Christian bands performing and guest speakers. They will also have kids activities and a meal will be served. Two local students graduate from Albion College
ALBION, Mich. — Two local students received degrees from Albion College during spring commencement ceremonies. Iron Mountain student Ellison Powell graduated summa cum laude with a degree in political science and a concentration in the Gerald R. Ford Institute for Leadership in Public Policy and Service. Powell is the daughter of Jeffery and Shannon Powell of Iron Mountain and a graduate of Iron Mountain High School. Powell was also named to the Albion College spring 2026 dean’s list. IR K of C raffle tickets go on sale
IRON RIVER — The Iron River Knights of Columbus Council 2300 will conduct its 32nd-annual 20 Club Raffle. The raffle is chaired by Deacon Financial Secretary Terry Verville. The popular drawing begins on Aug. 7, with the final drawing on Dec. 18. The raffle will have 20 weekly drawings that include 16 $100 winners and four $300 winners. Tickets can be purchased by mailing $20 with checks payable to the Knights of Columbus, to Art Aregoni, c/o K of C, P.O. Box 3, Caspian, MI 49915.
