TIPLER, Wis. — Michael Pearson and Kate Chaperon were united in marriage on Sept. 9, 2016, at Doucette’s Resort in Tipler, Wis. Good friend and youth pastor, Chad Harrison officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Edward and MaryJo Chaperon of Iron Mountain. The groom is the son of Frank (Nancy) Pearson and Kim (Kevin) McGregor of Iron Mountain.

The bride was escorted by her father and preceeded by the couple’s daughter, Pearl.

Both the bride and groom are 2003 graduates of Kingsford High School. Sister of the bride, Amy Cvengros, sister of the groom, April Bellmore, and longtime friend, Lana Dempsey, stood for Kate.

Brother of the groom, Joshua Pearson, and friends, Kevin Clifford and Dave Furno, stood for Michael.

The bride wore a Kit & Butterfly Boutique gown from California and carried lavender and eucalyptus.

The wedding took place where the couple love it most, in the woods, followed by a bonfire with 70 of their closest friends and family.

The entire weekend was videotaped by their dog, Odin.

The newlyweds honeymooned in the Keweenaw Peninsula and plan to build their first house in the spring of 2017.
