CRYSTAL FALLS — The Rev. Roger Jaworski has been selected as the new pastor for Lakeview Bible Church in Crystal Falls, after the retirement of the Rev. Richard Kreider.

Church members invite the community to celebrate the start of their new pastor’s ministry. They will have an open house and luncheon from noon to 2 p.m. Sunday to welcome Jaworski and his family.

Jaworski has a bachelor of science degree in forest management from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. He leaves behind a forester job in Iron and Baraga counties. He also has worked for the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources as a reforestation forester.

Jaworski is studying to obtain his master of divinity degree from the Lakeland Grace Brethren Church School of Theology in Warsaw, Ind. His course work includes classes in systematic theology, biblical Greek and Hebrew language and exegesis, hermeneutics, church history and surveys of the Old and New Testaments.

This new position at Lakeview Bible Church is a complete career change for Jaworski, one in which he said he feels a calling from God.

In sharing his testimony, he said, “I was once a godless atheistic evolutionist, but eight years ago I was saved by the grace of God alone through faith in Christ alone.”

“I consider it a blessed privilege from God to be able to preach the truth of God’s word and to tell others how to be saved from sin through faith alone in Jesus Christ,” he said.

He is married to Alicia and they have three children, Joseph, Ana and Arwen Rose.

“We are pleased to introduce Pastor Jaworski and family to our community and hope that many will take this opportunity to come to our open house,” said Todd Maki, church board chairman.

Starting at $3.50/week.
