Florence Parish to host ‘Worship in the Park’

FLORENCE, Wis. — The Florence Parish invites members and visitors to the annual “Worship in the Park” at 10 a.m. Sunday at the Keyes Lake Park pavilion. Bill Fleming, a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church, will lead the service. Organizers suggest attendees bring a lawn chair for more comfortable seating. They hope everyone will join them for worship and enjoy a time of fellowship, coffee and refreshments. VBS set for Aug. 3-5 at Grace Church of Sagola

SAGOLA — Vacation Bible School is set from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Monday through Wednesday, Aug. 3-5, at Grace Church of Sagola. All kids ages 3 through eighth grade are invited to the “Emerald Crossing,” an Irish adventure through Psalm 23. Through Bible study, indoor and outdoor games, arts and crafts, a missionary station and music, children will learn how God cares for them. Grace Church is at the corner of M-95 and M-69 in Sagola.

Florence Parish sponsors Vacation Bible School

FLORENCE, Wis. — The Florence Parish will offer three days of onsite Vacation Bible School for children who will be entering first grade to the seventh grade from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Wednesday, July 27- 29, at the First Presbyterian Church. Snacks and lunch will be provided. On Thursday, July 30, a school bus will transport them for a day at Fortune Lake Lutheran Camp just west of Crystal Falls. Church Revival slated Friday at Lake Antoine

IRON MOUNTAIN — A multi-denominational Church Revival is planned from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Lake Antoine Park band shell in Iron Mountain. The event will feature Christian bands performing and guest speakers. They will also have kids activities and a meal will be served. Norway church serving free meal on Sunday

NORWAY — Grace United Methodist Church of Norway will host a free community meal from 5 to 6 p.m. Sunday. The menu will be a brat on a bun, baked beans, potato salad and dessert. There is no charge for the dinner, but a donation basket will be available for those who want to make a contribution toward the meals. Brunch fundraiser planned Saturday

IRON RIVER — The Community Christian Women organization invites women of all ages to a March Meals Madness Brunch from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at Grace Covenant Church in Iron River. The brunch is free, and women are asked to bring nonperishable food items that will be donated to the local St. Vincent de Paul food pantries in both Iron River and Crystal Falls.
