Faithorn church to host Harvest Dinner Saturday

FAITHORN — Faithorn United Methodist Church will host its Harvest Dinner from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Saturday at Faithorn Township Hall. Menu will include chicken and meatballs, along with all the favorite fall vegetables and homemade pies. Cost is $15 per person in advance from a member or $17 at the door. Children younger than 7 will receive a kids meal and treat free of charge. Everyone is welcome to come and enjoy great food and socializing with neighbors.

Cornish Market set for Saturday

IRON MOUNTAIN — The First Methodist Women will host their annual Cornish Market from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday. The “taste” of their heritage will start at 9 a.m. at First Global Methodist Church, 106 Fourth St. in Iron Mountain. They will offer old Cornish recipes, including saffron buns, seedy buns, jelly tarts, heavy cake and Cousin Jack cookies, along with mini-pasties made by the group. Free meal on Sunday

NORWAY — Grace United Methodist Church of Norway will host a free community meal from 5 to 5:30 p.m. Sunday. The menu will be chicken casserole and vegetable with dessert. There is no charge for the dinner, but a donation basket will be available for those who want to make a contribution toward the meals.
