Hunter’s Bake Sale and Raffle starts today

VULCAN — The Women’s League of St. Barbara Catholic Church in Vulcan will host its annual Hunter’s Bake Sale and Raffle. Hours will be 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. today through Friday in the church parish hall. They will again be sold from 9 a.m. to noon or until sold out Saturday, Nov. 16. The women’s league will offer a wide variety of home-baked items, including pies, breads, cookies and coffee cakes. Fundraiser planned for food pantry

CRYSTAL FALLS — The United Methodist Women, Women of Faith, from the Christ United Methodist Church of Crystal Falls, will be hosting a fundraiser for the St. Vincent dePaul food pantry of Crystal Falls. They will have a bake sale from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 22 at the church. There will be apple, pumpkin and cherry pies and breads of all types, just in time for Thanksgiving. Mobile food pantry Wednesday at Kingsford church

KINGSFORD — A Feeding America West Michigan mobile food pantry will take place Wednesday at Redemption Hill Church, 332 S. Carpenter Ave., Kingsford. A distribution at this new location is also scheduled for Wednesday, Dec. 11. FAWM mobile food pantries provide free food to any household experiencing food insecurity. The format for food pickup in November and December will remain the same as it had been at the last location, the Tri-City Cinemas in Quinnesec. PEMBINE, Wis. — The Pembine Area Christians will host their 24th-annual Community Thanksgiving Dinner from noon to 3 p.m. Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 28, at the Northwoods Chapel, W8046 Aspen Lane in Pembine, Wis. Peace service planned Sunday in Crystal Falls

CRYSTAL FALLS — The public is invited to attend a non-partisan, interdenominational Christian prayer service two days before the national election at 3 p.m. Sunday at Fortune Lake Lutheran Camp in Crystal Falls. The service will be called “Peace be with You: Prayers for a Peaceful Election.” The first half of the event will include a brief prayer service featuring music, readings, prayer, and singing bowls.
