NORWAY — Grace Methodist Church in Norway will offer a free community meal from 5 to 5:30 p.m. Sunday. The menu will be turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy, vegetable and dessert. There is no cost for the dinner; a donation basket will be available. The free meals will be available for takeout in the church parking lot. IRON MOUNTAIN — A free meal will be available at 5 p.m. Thursday at First Global Methodist Church, 106 Fourth St., behind the Hardee’s restaurant in Iron Mountain.

K of C plans three Lenten fish bakes

KINGSFORD — The Iron Mountain-Kingsford Knights of Columbus Bishop Baraga Council 1585 will soon begin its annual Lenten Fish Bakes. These Lenten meals will be served from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Fridays, March 14, March 28 and April 11 at the hall at 520 W. Breitung Ave. in Kingsford. Dinner includes baked cod, mashed or baked potato, cole slaw, dinner roll and dessert. Cost is $15 for adults; $7 for ages 5 to 12 and free for children younger than 5. The public is welcome.

Lenten service slated for Wednesday

FLORENCE, Wis. — The Florence Parish will begin the Lenten season on Ash Wednesday at Bethlehem Lutheran Church with a soup supper at 5:30 p.m. in the fellowship area. At 6:30 p.m., the Rev. Steve Solberg will lead worship that will include communion and the imposition of ashes. The public is encouraged to continue the Lenten journey with a Lenten Devotional Series that will be available online for individual use.
