Update on new cancer center at GFWC meeting

IRON MOUNTAIN — The Iron Mountain-Kingsford General Federation of Women’s Club will meet at noon Friday at Pine Grove Country Club in Iron Mountain. The program will be an update on the new cancer treatment center at Marshfield Medical Center-Dickinson. Joe Rizzo, MMC-D’s director of public relations and business development, will present many details of the current and future plans for the medical complex in Iron Mountain. Fish fry Friday

IRON MOUNTAIN — The Uren-Cooper-Johnson American Legion Post 50 will host a fish fry from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Friday at the hall. The dinners will include a choice of three-piece cod or eight fried shrimp, along with fries, baked beans and cole slaw. Cost is $14 per plate. Dine-in or takeout is available. CRYSTAL FALLS — The Tufts-Rondon Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2891 meets monthly at 5:30 p.m. on the second Tuesday of each month. The auxiliary meets at 6 p.m. on the first Tuesday of each month.

FLORENCE, Wis. — Glacial Gardeners Master Gardener Association Volunteers have announced that the Inga Fleming Memorial and Hazel (DeGayner) Dault Scholarships will once again be available to area residents. NIAGARA, Wis. — The registration deadline is March 10 for the 2025 season of Soccer Association for Youth, Northern Michigan League. For registration information, go to www.saynml.org. Late registration carries an additional $10 fee and ends March 17.
