Finnish picnic Saturday
IRON MOUNTAIN — The Iron Mountain Finnish American Raja Ryhma organization has planned the annual Juhannus Picnic for Saturday at the Iron Mountain City Park, Bradley Maki Pavilion, the beautiful log structure with a sky-blue roof located near the Deer Park. Woodbee carvers plan reboot meeting Tuesday

Poker Run fundraiser
Submitted photos On June 8, Dave and MaryJo DeSmit of Crystal Falls facilitated a Poker Run to raise funds to support programs that benefit local active-duty and veteran service people. Twenty-one side-by-sides, two Jeeps and two four-wheelers traveled Michigan trails throughout the day, stopping at seven checkpoints along the way. In total, 45 VFW members enjoyed a day on the trails, where they shared a few laughs and made memories all in the name of great cause.
