Children invited to color Flivver pictures for Fourth of July float

KINGSFORD — Breitung Townships Schools is looking to involve the entire community for the Fourth of July Parade this year.

Children will be able to color custom Flivver pictures and then bring them to the Iron Mountain-Kingsford Fourth of July Parade. They will be collected during the parade and added to the float as it moves.

At the end of the parade, pictures will be randomly selected to win some Flivver gear donated by these local shops: Advanta Print, Logo Sportswear, Signature Design, and Threads and Shirt Tails.

Coloring sheets can be picked up at those businesses.

They also can be found at the Breitung Township Schools summer meal locations at Woodland Elementary and Quinnesec or in the children’s section of the Dickinson County Library.

Any children unable to attend the parade can have their colored pictures dropped off at any of Breitung Township School’s offices or mail them to Breitung Township Schools, 2000 Pyle Drive, Kingsford, MI 49802.
