Worship in the Park service in Florence

FLORENCE, Wis. — The Florence Parish, a partnership in Christian ministry between the First Presbyterian and Bethlehem Lutheran churches, invites members, friends and visitors to Worship in the Park at 10 a.m. Sunday at the Lake Emily pavilion.

The Rev. Doug Johnson will lead the service and also provide guitar accompaniment for the hymns. After worship will be time for fellowship, coffee and refreshments. Those planning to attend are asked to bring a lawn chair.

There will be no services at either church that morning.

Everyone also is welcome to Come to Supper from 5 to 5:45 p.m. Monday, Aug. 27, at the Presbyterian Church in Florence. They will serve a free meal, complete with dessert and beverages and a time for fellowship.

The Parish Sunday School, led by Tina Rittenhouse, will resume at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 9, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Florence.

All children age 3 through sixth grade are welcome. Contact Johnson at 715-528-4851 to enroll so the church can plan for supplies.
